Навыки и умения
Producer - Director - Screenwriter - Photojournalist - Photographer [award-winning, published]
I’m an internationally experienced, hands-on multiplatform producer-director for broadcast, corporate & online content [viral video campaigns, story marketing etc.] Recently I directed a complex large scale food/cooking documentary & a martial arts documentary for China’s national broadcaster CCTV. I also directed a big budget corporate film for the Chinese government in Shanghai as well as an Endangered Crafts art/culture series.
I was also the Supervising Producer-Director & Showrunner on a large scale cooking & food reality TV series based in Singapore, shot across southeast Asia. I formulated the look, contributed to conceptual brainstorming sessions & production meetings, designed cooking challenges, scouted locations, directed title & promo sequences, numerous in-depth interviews with participants & judges, directed several local crews during auditions & challenges & wrote promo scripts.
I'm often behind the camera [I’m an experienced DOP] & in the edit suite working with the editor. I like to be out on location with the crew getting my hands dirty. I'm focused, yet easy to work with; respectful with a healthy sense of humour. I constantly strive to find different ways to tell entertaining & compelling stories, & have a little fun along the way.
Above all I take a sense of pride in the quality of the finished product.
I’m quite at home working with non-English speaking cultures, having worked in Russia, Europe, China & southeast Asia, directing large multi-ethnic crews.
For the last 6 years I have been invited to cover the internationally-renowned Woodford Folk Festival: https://vimeo.com/album/2568799
Moscow: For 5 turbulent years, I directed, shot and edited news, documentary and large scale corporate productions across Russia and the former Soviet republics, from the Baltics to Kamchatka, often under harsh and difficult conditions, including several assignments to war-torn Chechnya and Ingushetia as well as the mountains of northern Afghanistan.
As a foreigner, Russia is a particularly difficult country to work in; it’s a country of extremes, not for the faint-hearted. It takes a special breed of person to survive and perform there without being arrested or deported, going insane and/or developing alcohol/drug problems. Apart from the language barrier and complex, frustrating bureaucracy at all levels, there is widespread crime, corruption, discrimination, harassment and harsh weather conditions to contend with.
Some of my work is here: MY VIMEO PORTFOLIO [https://vimeo.com/enrightography/videos/] There’s more detailed info in my CV.
I am also developing a mind-blowing TV drama series with a strong environmental message & require experienced exec producers/studio/network contacts/business/investor partners: LIGHT YEARS [http://light-years-tv.tumblr.com]
I have both Australian & British (EU) passports as well as a one year multiple entry Chinese visa; able to travel at short notice. I’m a non-smoker with a health / fitness oriented lifestyle. Keen to work with ethical, environmentally aware companies.
A unique way of seeing the world, a vivid imagination, a distinctive gift for breathtaking visuals and an amazing attention to detail.’
